Games Are King At Uncle's
Ask anyone at Uncle’s Games. They’ll tell you that games should not sit in closets. They should be played.
Manager, Jodi Rieman, with her shining dice earrings, loves talking about any of the 4000 board and card games that fill the store. In fact, she loves talking about games.
Jodi’s connection is personal. "My family, including my six siblings, bonded at the game table. We discovered many deeply gratifying and interesting qualities about each other while playing games. They’ve given us wonderful memories of our childhood and kept us together in times of need. Plus,” said Jodi, “Mom always knew what was going on in our lives since she did puzzles with us."
Games are a great way to hone strategy, sciences, and learn about geography and customs of the world -- while having fun. With so many choices, there is truly something for everyone. Whether it’s an old favorite like chess or “Chutes and Ladders”, or one of the current rages--LCR, Race of the Galaxy, or Settlers of Catan--the Uncle’s Games team prides itself in explaining features of any game before a purchase to make sure “it’s the right fit” for each customer.
Jodi believes the renewed interest in family game time may be related to the country's economic situation. Regardless, Uncle's is here with games catering to every age group and demographic to make this family time even more fulfilling.
Uncle’s does more than sell games. They host game nights most days of the week, and host game tournaments and workshops on Dungeons and Dragons, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, mini Star Wars and many others. They draw serious players, curious first-time players, and young families out for some fun and relaxation. So, whether you’re looking for a new game or just want to play, come by and introduce yourself to Jodi and the gang. It will be a blast!
