A friendly, fashionable formula for success:dressbarn opens a new outlet

Like a good friend, dressbarn listens to its customers.

Local District Sales Manager, Lois Mathius, says. "We know that women today are busier than ever and are just looking for a little bit of ‘me time.’"   And we at dressbarn strive to create a shopping experience that is affordable, while making women feel special and beautiful, inside and out.

With myriad options for career, casual and special occasions, dressbarn groups together looks to make it easier for the customer to shop and purchase head-to-toe outfits, and accessories to fit all lifestyle occasions.

Mathius has been with dressbarn for 13 years.  She loves the people, and loves to “surprise and delight” each customer and associate with personalized service. “We are thrilled to be a part of the Bellevue community with our new dressbarn store that carries sizes14-24 right across the hall from our existing store which opened in April 2003, and offers sizes 4-16. Now we truly have something for everyone!"

dressbarn has enjoyed great brand loyalty, thanks to customers being treated to a V.I.P. shopping celebration and in-store shopping party where they get undivided attention, service and additional savings.

Mathius says creating a community is at the heart of dressbarn. "I am proud of our partnership with the American Cancer Society that has been focused on both fundraising and early detection.  We engage in many initiatives throughout the year, and especially help spread the word during October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We annually participate in the American Cancer Society's signature event—Relay for Life—as a national team. Our associates work in teams to raise funds and take turns walking for 24 hours in honor of those who have fallen victim to cancer and to demonstrate a commitment to the cause. "

dressbarn also prides itself on its participation in the "Dress for Success"® program, which encourages women to be self-sufficient. Customers and associates have donated thousands of suits to help other women who are taking the steps to reach their full potential. dressbarn is looking forward to its sixth year as the national drop-off location where every store sends out an SOS asking customers to drop off a new or nearly new business suit for Dress for Success's “Send One Suit Week"  March 30- April 5, 2008.

Mathius says, "Despite the differences that make us each beautiful and unique, we are still very much alike.  This means we have to look out for one another.  We care, because that's what friends do. "
